We believe that every person — no matter their age, ability or health condition — deserves support to move more, safely and confidently. Our vision is to make movement part of everyday healthcare and self-care.
Movement has the power to improve quality of life, reduce symptoms, prevent long-term conditions, and even ease depression and anxiety. But too often, patients aren’t sure what’s safe, or don’t get the right support. We’re here to change that — by giving clear, practical, and compassionate guidance that makes movement more accessible for everyone.
We break down the science into simple, relatable advice you can trust.
Whether you’re living with pain, fatigue, or fear — we meet you where you are.
We work with clinicians, charities and partners to bring movement into healthcare conversations.
Moving Medicine is a collaboration between the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK and Nuffield Health, with input from specialist clinicians, patients, researchers and partners across the UK. Our work is based on the best available evidence — but always grounded in real people’s needs.
There are so many people to thank for bringing this resource to you. See our contributors page for more information.
We’re continually building new resources, listening to user feedback, and expanding partnerships across the NHS and beyond. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, patient, or potential partner — we’d love to hear from you.
